The Grove
This is one of the best malls in Los Angeles city right at Fairfax & 3rd Streets. Stores sell branded name goods. Better to buy from one of these stores than go to Rodeo in Beverly Hills where prices are extremely higher. I enjoy eating at the market area. There are many choices of foods from chinese, mexican, brazilian, french, japanese and many others in fast food style of serving. Fresh meats and fishes are likewise sold for cooking at home. From end to end (east to west or vice versa) of the mall area, a tranvia transports patrons for enjoyment.

Fe in the party
We had a party for PJ's visit to Lola Esther.
It's birthday party time of my cousin Jun's son Jack Jack at Lagro, Quezon City.
2001 Party at Baby's (Jasa) home in Arleta, California. It's really cold and its my first christmas in the US. It was christmas party for former Philnabankers. Most of the attendees were, however, former auditors of PNB.
Jack jack son of Jun (fe's cousin) was dancing at the party at home in Novaliches. In the 2005 christmas party little jack jack has grown up to be a good dancer.

Fe ....
2004 Christmas. For a change and make the picture looks it is christmas time. Di ba ... See I look and really is slimmer than it was when I was working.
This is a 2005 picture. Look at my picture below. Am i right saying I look younger now. It's my own assessment. What do you think?
(Emil & Fe)
The picture was taken in 1996 at SM North Edsa. Time flies fast it was almost a decade ago. Don't know, but we look younger now than before. Maybe because we're no longer working in an stressful environment. Just maybe .... However, we are grateful of the work we have. It was a blessing God has given to us and has enriched our lives together.

Peter John in Novaliches
He he he ... secured na secured ako dito, meron naman steel grills kaya I would not fall down. Its nice playing here I could see children in the streets playing. It's better here than down in the streets para hindi pasaway ... ang bait bait ko di ba. Yes, I do ... mama coaches me to be good. She has been dutiful in teaching me the goodness of Jesus Christ. Read books to me regarding stories of faithful men from the Bible. I love these stories especially Daniel and the lion. He he he, kapit tuko ako habang ang lion ay nakatingin kay Daniel. Kala ko ako ang kakagatin eh. Saan gayam ...
I heard sa mga nanay at tatay, we children play a lot and we have much energy for that. My only concern is as long as my heart's desires are met. Hindi po ba.
Ready to go na ako. After a while, ituturo ko ang gusto ko. At saka nangina, saan met nga importante.
PJ & Mama during Christmas... Anyway, its christmas time that is why medyo formative ako (he he he tama ba ang english ko). Although, I could wear a better one, a costume for the season, but eto lang muna. kunkundit la'ng.

Solvang, California
This is Solvang USA in California. At this time of the year (July) flowers abound in all the places.
A collage on this wonderful place populated by the Danes. The city of Solvang is around 120 plus miles and north of Los Angeles. The collage portraits the place.

Christmas Party in Los Angeles
On December 10, I attended an early christmas party of former Philnabankers. 90 % of those in attendance were former officemates at the Internal Audit Group. Those who attended though comprised around 30 % of the whole former auditors who are now residing in Los Angeles county. For seven hours, we kind of reminiscing PNB days and our fulfilled american dreams. As always the case, food abounds in every party or gathering here in the US. The Filipino heritage in us, we bring home foods (we call it "to go foods") not consumed in the party. In that way, no foods were wasted. Moreover, for all of us we will certainly have food in the next meal (libre pa). The party was happy and the conversations were moderately lively. Our hosts, the Jasa family were likewise gracious and very accommodating. Everyone was put at ease and comfortable. Those that sang songs were lavishly appreciated and acknowledged. By the way, the Jasas are personal friends and were instrumental in my fruitful & blessed US life. I am forever grateful for their love and concerns. I thank God with joy when I remember them and include them in my prayers of adoration to God(Phil 1:3-4).

Visiting Friends
Thirty plus years ago in the early 1970's, this lady (former Naomi Patag now Pilande) is one of the leaders of Adamson U IVF. She was instrumental in sharing the gospel of the Kingdom of God to my sister. Lorena has acknowledged that indeed, Naomi was the mentor, tutor and friend who came alongside during her early years of her christian life. It is but fitting then to see her now after more than 25 years of not seeing one another. I remember her college looks as opposed to this younger looks.
Friends of yesteryears circa 1970's, Manong Joe and Cora Patag now in San Fernando Valley. Lead a baptist church in downtown LA. I may not have seen them again if not for Arnel because his visitors (his ninang and ninong are good friends of the patags) Twas good to see these folks who I have not seen for more than 25 years. A re-union of sorts remembering the short days we were able to talk together while we were yet in Manila.

Do I look like one of them. Though I come from a different culture we share the same creation that was made by God.
All were in dress code for the occassion.
Three pictures could not be rotated as these were originally taken. The photographer must have clicked the camera while he was falling down.
Lovely people of Bethesda, India. It was a day of refreshing mingling with one another students and teachers alike.
